Description	PD 20170050 was derived from a cross between TX-2354 (PI 607669) and MD 25 (PI 659508). TX-2354 is a landrace accession collected from Paraguay in 1986. MD 25 was developed by USDA-ARS Stoneville, MS from a cross between MD 9ne and a non-commercial strain developed by Suregrow Seed Company (Centre, AL). PD 20170050 displays a mid- to full-season maturity and combines excellent yield potential, fiber quality, and wide adaptation. Averaged over six total locations in 2018 and 2019, PD 20170050 produced lint yield equal to Phytogen 72 and UA 48 while higher than Deltapine 393. Lint percent of PD 20170050 was higher than Deltapine 393 and equal to Phytogen 72 and UA 48. PD 20170050 was equivalent to check cultivars for boll size, seeds boll-1, seed index, and lint index. PD 20170050 produced fiber length and quality score 2 superior to check cultivars. PD 20170050 produced strength equal to check cultivars, while micronaire was higher than Deltapine 393 but equal to Phytogen 72 and UA 48. Uniformity and quality score 1 of PD 20170050 was equal to Deltapine 393 but higher than Phytogen 72 and UA 48.
