Genetics of Blackarm Resistance .XII. Transference of Resistance from Gossypium-Herbaceum to G Barbadense.
Publication Overview
Abstract Two partially dominant genes governing resistance to blackarm (Xanthomonas malwcearum) have been transferred from Gossypium herbaceum (n=13, A1 genome) to Sakel, G. barbadense (n=26, (AD)2 genome). The stronger of these genes has been given the symbol B9; no symbol has been allocated to the weaker gene because gene homology tests have not been made between this and the other known genes.
